I love the recurring summer pop up restaurant! It’s so unique to eat inside the old copper tower on top of the Knippelsbro bridge. The view is spectacular, the waiters super friendly and the food good.
Amazing place to visit, if you want to take something to drink, it's a cozy place and a landmark for the city as well, with a view on the canal of the city
We were just walking over the bridge and decided to pop our heads into a mysterious door we saw open on one of the towers. Turns out it's a cool little Cafe where you can enjoy drinks on multiple levels of the tower. We clearly had no idea what we had walked into but the staff saw us and quickly took care of us, leading to a great unexpected experience!
What looked like a watch/service tower from the outside, turned out to be a cute lil cafe. I actually came back home and looked up this place and turns out a few other people had a similar experience.
Definitely recommend stopping by here in the evening time. The coffee can be expensive though : fair warning
Like all normal people, I want to someday live in a lighthouse, but this is the next best thing: coffee or wine in a drawbridge tower. This is a beautiful spot to come for a cup of filter coffee and a little snack. You can sit right over the canal and watch the boats go by. The staff is friendly and speaks English and Danish, and I was surprised that it wasn't more crowded when it opened (we were there on a Sunday and got a table immediately, right outside on the upper deck). Do yourself a favor and take a quick break here if you are going between Indreby and Christianshavn. It's one of the best views in the city.
One of the highlights of my trip to Copenhagen. And I was fortunate that Lars Erik Lyndgaard Schmidt, whose brainchild this is, was on site and made my lunch! Absolutely unique and memorable experience.
Great fun place. Good beer and snacks. Entertaining restroom (water closet) that I will not spoil by describing. Great views during even an hour here. Ferries, royal yacht, and rowers.
Great view and very good beer! They have cultural events and pop-up restaurants. There is a little cost to get in but it worth it. Remember to book in advance for the dinners (everything is on their website).
